Guitarist Glenn Frey, a founding member of rock band the Eagles, died in New York on Monday aged 67, the band said on its website. Frey died of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. He cofounded the Eagles with singer Don Henley, and they enjoyed a career at the top of the rock charts with hit songs such as Hotel California and Take It Easy.
