The Script have paid tribute to the victims of the Berkeley balcony disaster on stage in Croke Park.
The trio said: “Ireland lost six of its sons and daughters during the week in California to a terrible tragedy” and it broke their hearts.
The Dublin band sold out the 80,000-seat venue for their homecoming gig tonight.
Event controller for promoters MCD, Eamon Fox, said the concert was a one of a kind, with concert-goers arriving from as far away as South America. He added seven tickets had been sold in Afghanistan.
